Review: Marmaduke

Director: Tom Dey

Starring: Owen Wilson

Year: 2010

Genre: Family

Rated: PG

Length: 87 min.

IMDB Summary: A suburban family moves to a new neighborhood with their large yet lovable Great Dane, who has a tendency to wreak havoc in his own oblivious way.

Review:
This movie is fun, action-packed and appropriate for kids of all ages. Dog lovers can relate to many themes in this movie--some of Marmaduke's lines seem to just capture the canine spirit. Pet owners and non-pet owners alike can relate to the overarching themes of family, love and commitment. Although Wilson's voice-over can become a bit annoying, this movie is well worth the watch because of the funny dogs, pet themes and human responses to canine-induced havoc. With a humorous narration, perky music, mild humor and a likeable cast of characters, Marmaduke has a little something for everyone.

For Parents:
Very mild humor

My Rating:
*****
