Review: Night at the Museum 2

Director: Shawn Levy

Starring: Ben Stiller, Robin Williams, Amy Adams

Year: 2009

Genre: Family

Rated: PG

Length: 105 min.

IMDB Summary: Security guard Larry Daley infiltrates the Smithsonian Institution in order to rescue Jedediah and Octavius, who have been shipped to the museum by mistake.

Review:
What a waste of film! There is so much that the filmmakers of Night at the Museum could have done at the Smithsonian, yet instead they focus on an inept Egyptian pharaoh (who provides the only comic relief in the film), an overdose of crude PG-rated humor and a romance between Stiller's character and Amelia Earheart. The plot of the movie is chaotic and hard to distinguish from the slapstick and in-your-face one-liners. This sequel is severely lacking in humor and plot. Skip it.

For Parents:
Mild language and crude humor
