Review:
I'll admit I was very skeptical when confronted with the idea of a film based on a video game. However, despite cardboard characters and a mechanized plot, the filmmakers of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time manage to pull it off, with riveting action sequences, animation and special effects. Also, the banter between the two lead characters helps the movie maintain a fast and fun atmosphere that doesn't take itself too seriously. Don't look for any substance--it's not there. What you can find are fast-paced adventure and skillfully edited action sequences. If you enjoy action flicks, then Prince of Persia may be worth a watch.

For Parents:
Action violence, including hand-to-hand combat
